About Us

Funding Connection was established in May 2015 as I found a great need in our New Zealand schools. While bringing up my son who is on the Autistic Spectrum, I learned that to meet students’ needs, schools needed funding, further to what they received from the Ministry of Education.

While researching to source funding to support my son’s learning, I found grant opportunities to support schools for playground and swimming pool upgrades, Kapa Haka uniforms and tutoring, sports equipment and uniforms, grants for environmental projects, IT and AV equipment, shade sails, EOTC, top ups on some MOE partially funded projects and more. I realised that I could help school stretch their operational budget further by contributing to each project and applying for funding for the shortfall.

I was empowered to make a difference in our schools, to ensure they were applying to all the funders they were eligible to apply to; not just the ones they apply to year after year. Along the way I learnt that these funders also considered applications from sports clubs, scout groups, business associations and other not-for-profit and registered charities so these groups are also my clients.
